Belton Scenic
Belton Scenic
The original, much-admired version of this wallpaper can be seen in the Chinese bedroom at Belton House in Lincolnshire. Dates from 1785, it is known to have been hung over 50 years later, in 1840. Available in three colourways, the horizontal pattern repeats over two standard rolls, making the final panel just over three metres in width. This design comprises 6 panels covering 3.12m in total width and is provided on two rolls. Each roll contains 3 panels, covering a width of 1.56m. It is possible to purchase one roll containing just 3 panels (a,b & c or d,e & f) which make up half of the complete mural. To attain the complete pattern both the a,b,c roll and d,e,f roll should be purchased.
